Hows the best way to remove these?
Most posts say to use a screwdriver to lever off, but from which angle, and how big a screwdriver?
Have had a go but dont seem to be getting very far, and dont want to damage anything.

Try a knife from your cutlery set instead, they come off pretty easily once you catch them right.

good idea, I always use a dinner knife to get the centre vent out, works much better than a screwdriver.Wondermike wrote:Try a knife from your cutlery set instead, they come off pretty easily once you catch them right.

Re: Removing Side Air Vent Screw Cap Covers
Cracked it!
Used a Flat Bladed Precision Screwdriver, the trick is not to try to lever up the scre as well.
The cap has no retaining lugs, it just an interference fit, so you need to just push the screwdriver only the lsightest amount to get it to pop off.
I will post a pic of the unside of the cap in the next few days so that it helps other members if they are trying to remove also.

I have removed several of them and never managed to get them off intact. They are about 50 cents a piece, so the damage is limited.
