Selling my Alpina Roadster S

It's been a very tough decision but I'm selling my Alpina and replacing it with something purely for track use. I've been overhauling it over the last month or so and I still have a few things to do so rest assured the new owner will be getting a very well sorted piece of kit! Full spec is below.

2004 Alpina Roadster S with full Lux pack. 40k miles, full S/H. Sterling Grey with red and black interior.

Engine is mostly standard other than:

Gruppe M carbon fibre intake.
Custom built stainless exhaust with 100 cell cats and straight through back boxes.
ECU has been live mapped.

Drivetrain:

Standard 6 speed gearbox with Alpina ratios.
Complete E46 M3 rear axle with 3.62 ratio and LSD.
Shortened propshaft.
All bushes have either been upgraded or replaced with new OEM
CSL 19" rims with 4 new tyres.
10mm front spacers.
E46 M3 front hubs.

Suspension:

Intrax 1k2 coilovers and adjustable top front mounts.
H&R CSL adjustable anti roll bars.
TMS alloy adjustable rear camber arms.
OEM strut brace

Brakes:

AP six pot fronts and AP 4 pot rears.
Brand new RS29 pads front and rear.
Spare set of Ferodo 2500 pads front and rear.
Braided hoses, race fluid etc.

Body:

Clear front headlights (Xenon)
Clear tail lights and side indicators.
Aero sills just fitted.
New front spoiler ( not yet fitted, I was going to wait till after winter )
All badges including wheel centres, side indicators etc have been changed to Alpina. In fact there isn't a BMW badge on it anywhere!
Silver grilles.

Interior:

Pretty much standard. Standard spec has everything though! The only upgrade I can think of is a 2007 satnav disc.

All the original parts ( other than wheels ) go to the new owner along with any spares I might have.


Before selling I will be replacing all four wheel bearings and repairing a small mark on the rear quarter panel. I will also get the geometry checked and re set up if necessary. Everything else will get a full check over and anything remotely worn will be replaced.

Be warned, this car is loud, fast, handles properly, stops properly, looks stunning and gets loads of attention. If moddings your thing then tough, it's all done, even a stubby aerial!

That reminds me, I've probably forgotten to list a load of mods. When my memory kicks in I'll add them to the list.

The most likely option at the moment seems to be a fully sorted Ultima GTR but I'm open to suggestions! Your right, it is a very hard decision and to be honest I still have my doubts. My GF was in tears when I told her which made things even worse.

Quick question - why is the propshaft shortened?

The M3 diff is longer so the pinion flange is closer to the gearbox output flange. I probably will stay around just so I can argue with people who think a strut brace will make their Z handle like a F1!
