New Mini Roadster !

Post by Shooter » Thu Apr 08, 2010 12:58 pm

My first "other" topic !

So, i just came across the first photos of the new Mini Roadster, and i must say that i just love it ! :D

If i don't go the M way or the Porsche way for my next car, the Mini Roadster could be an interesting option.

That's cute! Bet it's a hoot to drive, too. :driving:

Looks far better in that pic than any I've seen so far, so a  from me too.

Not really my sort of car, but looks pretty good to me and you can guarantee it'll sell very very well...

Not bad actually, IMO.

Not sure how old these photos are and if these are actually production-final versions???

They should have put a folding hard roof on it. :D  :fuelfire:

Nah....

Something with a roof that small should be a manual roof (but of course, being a MINI, it won't be...). Less weight and less to go wrong. My mate's latest-style MR2 Roadster has a manual roof and it's literally a one-hand job to open/close, without even having to get out of the driver's seat.

Hmmm, nice with the top down... but agree, fugly with it up & what's with the gold on white?? Looks like Michael Jackson's boudoir

A roadster should be driven with the top down whenever possible... therefore the roof is only there to protect you from the rain/snow when you get caught out and shouldn't be a big heavy thing. Folding Hard Tops are for GTs, which the mini roadster isn't (or shouldn't be) trying to be.

just my 2p :)

All a bit frugly

Roof up looks like a Zed4 roof grafted on and it's all compromised. 2 seats instead of 4. No boot space as before, heavily raked screen that seems to intrude into the cabin area (like the old 206cc)

Not one for me but I'm sure it will attract the Mini crowd.
Jaguar F-Type 3.0 Supercharged V6 S, Stratus Grey, LSD, Active Exhaust, CF wheels, Performance brakes, Sports seats and mods ongoing
Gone but not forgotten Z4 3.0i SE Roadster ///M front, Red ///M leather seats, Aero sills
