Rear view mirror retrofit

Hey!

I have a 2004 3.0 Z4, and from the start of my ownership, my rear view mirror started leaking and I just didn't like the oval shape. Last year, I swapped it out for an E66 7 series rear view mirror. Everything went well, I swapped over the key receiver and sorta shoved it into the housing of the E66 mirror. My wiring was sort of a hack job, but hey, it worked for a year at this point. I was browsing Ebay and I came across this cheap G30 5 series mirror. I bought it and I should get it sometime this week...A problem I had with the E66 mirror was that my garage door used security 2.0, so the homelink never worked. The G30 mirror also looks really nice in my opinion. Is the wiring different even though the connectors are the same, and will I run into any electrical issues? I was planning on doing the same thing I did with the E66 mirror. I'd appreciate any help!!
