Brill Bigwin. I assume its 2 & 3.. Also it has started binging at me even thou the roof is shut, I assume that's because these switches have failed.

Probably broken wire, waste of money buying switches.

Agree, it's 99% certain that the wires is the problem.

But the two MS on the coupling rams in the trunk should be replaced each decade.

Jumping in on this thread - apologies for the slight hijack….

When replacing / slicing in new wiring to fix a A68B error message, I assume it makes sense to do it both sides? Also are there adjacent wires that should / could be replaced as a precaution? Only saying this as I want to get as many bases covered when I get my roof fixed and this might help the OP as well

Wires will break only in the upper, not visible bow behind the rear roof shell, nowhere else.

If you want to future proof, replace the one pair left and two right.
Chop the cables as close as possible to switch or sensor and replace at least over the first bends.
I have had no problems since.

I had one that broke further down, so it is possible.

With that being said, it already had been repaired in the upper part, so it will brake there first.

Is it just the one wire to this micro switch that is the main worry point ? (On both sides of course)

It's all the wires to the micro switches. 6 in total.
