Checking offset numbers before purchase

Post by Pagan » Thu Oct 31, 2024 9:17 pm

Hello, I’m just about to pull the trigger on some new wheels for my Z4 E85. I’ve plugged the numbers into the usual sites, and they seem okay, but I’d really appreciate double-checking that these are right (especially offset):
Front: 18x8.5” ET38 (probably with 235/40 tyres)
Rear: 18x9.5” ET40 (probably with 255/35 tyres)

I’m looking to have the wheels a little further out than stock but nothing too extreme, and I definitely want to avoid rubbing. I probably will be putting in some slightly sportier coil springs (30mm drop).

Thanks.

They aren’t “right”, i.e. they are not the OEM sizes/offset, but they should be fine.

Hi Pagan, were those Enkei wheels you were looking at?

I only ask as the sizes and offsets look very similar to a few designs I've been considering! Did you go ahead in the end?
