That is the biggest whippy I have seen :D

Car looks nice

I didn't notice that before, that does look long doesn't it!
I'm nipping out to measure my whippy :telloff:

Beautiful black top coupe there, for realistic money. Wont hang around for long, I'm sure.

I would have been very interested in this but unfortunately I am right down south in Bournemouth. Good luck with the sale though, the car looks great.

Morning,

Just a quick question, does the passenger seat have isofix connecters? cant really tell from the angle of the photos

thanks

Yes, you can see them just sticking out at the base of the seat.

And it does, my little one will love to be in this car, being car crazy little man! thank you for uploading the photos, i hope it helps others too

I don't buy a lot of cars privately so maybe I am misunderstanding something but I see above that you say you bought the car with a clean title, however when I ran the reg though Car Vertical, it comes up as a Cat N Insurance write off?

As I say I am a bit of a newb when it comes to things like this and I don't mean to cause any offence, I'm just trying to educate myself on the ins and outs of buying a used car privately!

When the insurance pays out the car its a write off.
Sometimes when you check a car that you buy from Copart it doesn’t show up the CAT marker straight away. But rest assured it gets updated and now shows as a CAT C with Hpi

I've just run an official HPI check and its clear. Anyone is welcome to a copy of the report. It also provides a £30,000 guarantee.
I've done the same with Experian and Total Car Check.

I dont know where CarVertical are getting their data from but its wrong. From watching Matt Armstrong I know they aren't cheap so you want to challenge them on that data. I'll send you the official HPI data if you like to do it with.

I'm sorry thats just not true. Its not showing as a Cat C and that category was replaced some time ago.
As I put in my write up I also spoke to the insurance company and explained why it was sold through Copart and not a write off.

Just so you can see what I mean, below are a couple of extracts from the Car Vertical report.

Very strange. Their data's gone wonky somewhere.
I can assure you that I've looked into this at significant length for my own protection. I know there are various copies of the MAIFTR "Motor Insurers Anti-Fraud and Theft Register" that some of these third parties use instead. Maybe the issue is in one of those?
It'll be good to know if you ever find out or if anyone else knows.

Meanwhile get an HPI or Experian check and they will guarantee the value of the car based on their data being correct.

Yes I think you are right. I remember back a few years ago there was pretty much HPI check only, now there are so many companies offering this service you do wonder where they are pulling the data from.

I have no doubt your car is tip top, I have been reading your other thread on the Tiefgruen you have and your work looks exemplary.

I've finally been promised that back on Tuesday. I'm like a kid that can't wait for Christmas :)
