2007 Silver E86 3.0si Coupe 55k miles £12k

I'm throwing myself at the mercy of the forum and putting my Silver coupe on sale 8)

I bought this car through Copart with a clean title, more on that later. Its a low mileage genuine car in great condition proportionate to its age.
It would be great to find it a fellow enthusiast owner who can continue to look after it.

Here are the basics:
Silver 3.0si Coupe
57 plate, Manual transmittion with only 55k miles
MOT till 21/02/24. Here's the history: https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/re ... on=md57ytf

Spec:
Black top N52 3.0si engine
Black electric and heated MSport seats
Multi function steering wheel
ISO fiited with airbag suppression
Halogen lights
Business Radio

Service History doesn't follow the annual cycle but has a solid record with well known specialists:
10/07 (new) - Delivery check - BMW Bowker
06/10 (16.8k) - Oil Service & Brake Fluid - Prestige Performance St Albans
10/15 (31.1k) - Inspection 2, plugs, fuel filter & Brake Fluid - Jennings Morpeth
03/20 (45k) - Oil Service & Brake fluid - BMS Surrey
01/22 (51k) - Inspection 1 & Brake fluid - Munich Power

I have all the reciepts and two keys with the manuals. It includes a positive health check by Munich Power and over £800 of maintainance in 2022 including rocker cover gaskets and suspension bushes.

BMW Health Check: Vertu BMW did a full health check and video under the car a fortnight ago. Watch the video here:
https://video.citnow.com/vtZsMZR_n-5

The history; as I mentioned above I bought this at auction from Copart with a clean title. No category. It had front bumper damage and a smashed o/s headlight. I've spoken to both the previous owner and insurance company who confirmed he'd bumped the back of a Jag at a junction. The insurance company assessors report confirmed minimal damage but the insurer offered the full car value. With Copart being their standard onward sales channel thats how it ended up there.
Here's a link to the auction details and photots: https://www.poctra.net/lot/gASVEwAAAAAA ... 2MDA1NZQu/

Work so far: As you can imagine I've been in my element getting it back to scratch and its now better than before!
It's obviously had the front bumper and headlight replaced. Whilst off I restored the front slam panel and headlight carriers removing surface rust. My local bodyshop completed a full paint job on the front of the car through to the doors. Silver is a notoriously tough colour to match and given the low mileage and condition its deserved more than a slightly off colour front bumper. Complimenting the respray the fog lights are brand new, the alloys have been fully refurb'd so it all looks fresh and new.

I'v priced the car higher on all the usual sites but I'm putting it on sale to a forum member for £12k. I think thats an attractive price for a low mileage car. I know already I'll soon be corrected on here if not :D. i've had some interest in the car but mainly from traders who want to flip it.

Check out the photos and let me know what you think :)
If anyone wants to come and have a look I'm up near sunny Newcastle NE32. Perhaps I can tempt you to buy my Z4M Coupe while here

Beautiful black top coupe there, for realistic money. Wont hang around for long, I'm sure.

I would have been very interested in this but unfortunately I am right down south in Bournemouth. Good luck with the sale though, the car looks great.

It has the passenger deactivation light on the centre console so I would assume it does

Yes, you can see them just sticking out at the base of the seat.

I don't buy a lot of cars privately so maybe I am misunderstanding something but I see above that you say you bought the car with a clean title, however when I ran the reg though Car Vertical, it comes up as a Cat N Insurance write off?

As I say I am a bit of a newb when it comes to things like this and I don't mean to cause any offence, I'm just trying to educate myself on the ins and outs of buying a used car privately!

When the insurance pays out the car its a write off.
Sometimes when you check a car that you buy from Copart it doesn’t show up the CAT marker straight away. But rest assured it gets updated and now shows as a CAT C with Hpi

I've just run an official HPI check and its clear. Anyone is welcome to a copy of the report. It also provides a £30,000 guarantee.
I've done the same with Experian and Total Car Check.

I dont know where CarVertical are getting their data from but its wrong. From watching Matt Armstrong I know they aren't cheap so you want to challenge them on that data. I'll send you the official HPI data if you like to do it with.

I'm sorry thats just not true. Its not showing as a Cat C and that category was replaced some time ago.
As I put in my write up I also spoke to the insurance company and explained why it was sold through Copart and not a write off.
