Genuine BMW 276M 19" Wheels

Post by tiglon » Mon Nov 22, 2021 7:06 pm

Full set, good condition but not brand new. Have done approximately 8,000 miles. No kerbing but a few scratches and very small chips - nothing noticeable unless you inspect closely so they look as good as new on the car IMO.

Staggered widths:
2 x front 8j ET29
2 x rear 9j ET40

Designed for the E89. I'm asking £400 collected, which I think is fair. Happy to have them delivered at buyers expense, generally around £50 within mainland UK. I'm based in Colchester, Essex.

Not willing to negotiate on the price, if they don't sell I'll get rid of them for twice the price in 5 years when they're the only remaining set of E89 wheels that aren't cracked

Offsets would also fit a 2 or 4 series, for anyone on here who bought the wrong car :poke:

Worth noting that these wheels are on average 1kg lighter than standard 326m's per wheel.

Just in case anyone is interested, these are still sitting in the shed and available.

Please don't let them spend Christmas out there in the cold, they need a home for the holidays...

Genuine BMW 276M 19" Wheels

Post by Argyll Andy » Sat Jan 08, 2022 1:33 pm

Will, I can’t believe you still have these, even at the starting price. Genuine BMW 19’s only done a few thousand miles since out of the box. The whole set are cheaper than one 326 replacement, which is as you know why I bought them.

Maybe a picture of how they look on your lovely Z4 might assist your sale :D

GLWTS

Whilst I am more than happy with the 18s on my E89, I am wondering if anyone has fitted these to an E85?
They'd not work out much more than refurbing the MV2s, MV1s or 108s that I currently have!
Do they fit? What do they look like?
I have 18x8.5 ET38 all round on the 2.2 and they sit lovely on it with no issues.
I suspect the extra wheel width, added to the 19" diameter may give me issues?
    Would like to know though.

Thanks Argyll Andy, great idea - they suit the car very well, the only reason I changed was to match the black colour scheme on the trim. With the original chrome/silver trim they fit in perfectly.

enuff_zed, I've found this thread where someone has put 437Ms on his E85 - same offsets as these, but even wider. No guarantees though!

There was some debate about 8J x 18 ET 29 E89 rims on E85/E86 on the forum with some saying no issues and some saying rubbing likely/possible. This was based on experience and not conjecture, so different cars and different outcomes.

I think it depends on whether your on MSport/Lowered suspension though. I can’t see the fact that it’s a 19’’ making much difference as you’d be fitting lower profile tires so the combined diameter should be almost the same.

Potential rubbing was on front outside arch liner near the bumper.

Thanks, think I'll give it a miss.
Lot of investment to find I then have issues.
Just need to decide which set of 18s to spend the money on now then.
