What have you done to your E89 today

As the name states. There is an E85/6 one of these but not for E89.
Have just put mine under cover and on trickle charge whilst the snow ice and salt get to work.on the roads

I've cheated on her with a younger Porsche. Then I bought her flowers. And she has forgiven me. Nice E89.

Not sure driving constitutes ‘what have you done to your car’? :tumbleweed: :headbang:

As mine is for sale, I went outside with the intention of cleaning it and taking some photos. But is was bloody freezing, so went back inside.
Therefore I actually did nothing to the car today. :D

Haven't actually done anything to it, but I picked these up from the body shop for fitting in the near future.

probably was about time the E89 had its own space, altho there has been good grace allowing for posts on the E85/86 pages for some time…

I will now slide off and find something electric to post or I fear Peter will start shaking his stick more… whilst I do, here’s a picture of a wheel

Looking good Andy, can't wait to see them fitted

Spent a snowy afternoon calculating the impact of changing front and rear discs, calipers including my new rear BBK and their impact on front / rear brake ratios aka brake bias and impact on master / slave cylinder ratios…

If you have a question..ask? :tumbleweed:

Took a few pictures, hooked up the trickle charger for the winter, and used bimmercode to enable remote top control(not sure why, but it was disabled 🤔)

Compared to older cars (pre 2000?) I have often thought that modern cars including E89s are “over servo’d”. My right foot has become accustomed now that I don’t have a pre 2000 alongside but will a BBK change that feeling?

It’s all relative…compared to Audis I’ve had the E89 servo assistance seems ‘normal’….we’ll have to see what gives once they are bolted on and taken for a drive…further complication on the E89 is there is specfic coding to support BBKs of certain types in the VO :tumbleweed: :driving:

Modifying my reverse camera i fitted.
Bought and fitted the number plate light version but looks silly off centre.
So made a new bracket, painted to match car colour and will fit, if it stops raining for half hour.
Fit in centre above plate and shielded by shape of bumper.
Off course when i pulled masking tape off lens it pulled some paint off, why can't anything be perfect first time.

Still won't be noticed after a day.

I learnt to drive on father's Humber Septre. Move brake pedal 2 inches like dropping an anchor.
