That’s why I sold up

Thought that may be the case.sp3ctre wrote: Fri Mar 08, 2024 9:29 pm As for what happens if everyone installs an ad-blocker, that's easy... my costs then become more than my revenue and I delete the forum... simple maths, I'm afraid.
Generally that’s the case. You won’t get paid for the ad just appearing. Some ads may pay only if they are clicked through and a purchase is made, but they are few and far between.Pondrew wrote: Sat Mar 09, 2024 11:35 am Do you receive more revenue from an ad if it is 'clicked through'?
Well whatever sp3ctre did it seems to have worked.Mr Tidy wrote: Fri Mar 08, 2024 9:33 pm In that case I won't install an Ad blocker, but I hope you can get rid of all those poxy adverts all the way through threads!
OK, ok, I'll click the ads!sp3ctre wrote: Fri Mar 08, 2024 9:29 pmOk, I assure you there is not supposed to be an ad after every post. There is supposed to be an ad after the first post but only for those not logged in (i.e. guest users). I will look into what is happening but sometimes Google has a mind of it's own.Pondrew wrote: Fri Mar 08, 2024 12:41 pm If everyone has an ad blocker, will Jim be able to make any revenue from advertising?
I don't know how the 'tech' world works but assuming it will affect his revenue.

Been OK until today but now there are ads after every few posts. If you can help that would be great.
Thanks

They are so clever you are means tested when you log on and you can't afford anything they sell.buzyg wrote: Sat Mar 09, 2024 9:20 pmWonder why I don't get them?Mr Tidy wrote: Sat Mar 09, 2024 9:09 pmIt looks like I spoke too soon - they're back.Mr Tidy wrote: Sat Mar 09, 2024 8:02 pm Mr Tidy wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 9:33 pm
