Over the past couple of years I have bough an E31 (840) and an E61 (M5) from ML. In the first case I found the car from a private seller and had ML purchase it for me, set it straight and I bought it off them. I am also using them for work on my E46 after they quoted me half what the local Barons dealership has quoted. Whenver I deal with them I receive fantastic service (and I am rather picky) and I get to drive one of the cars on the forecourt. So I have actually found that service, knowledge and prices at ML are all better than they are elsewhere. They are not local to me but I'm happy to drive to them for the reasons outlined above. HTH,

Federica

They've gone off the boil recently. I asked for a quote for brakes (discs and pads all round) and the quote came in as 'new pads all round £545' when I asked if this included the discs (should at that price) nobody replied to my email. Called up and was told they will call back and didn't. Went elsewhere after that.

That is rather unlike them. I know they had a change of front of house staff recently but that should still not justify lack of responsiveness. If you consider going back you should ask to speak to Stewart or Dan. There you go, my 2 cents.

I've not heard anything bad about them since they changed ownership (from the Halse brothers).

It was the previous owners who frequently rubbed people up the wrong way, and which made them a bit marmite.

Sometimes they'd bend over backwards to help you out, other times they'd ignore calls from potential buyers/customers, and you'd arrange a visit/test drive (from 200-300 miles away) and the car would be at the back of the lot with 2 punctures and not suitable for a test drive by a long way. There were even some rumours of cars being bought privately via them to be exported and the receiving customer getting a restoration job instead of the excellent condition car they were charged for.

As mmm-five pointed out, there were quite a lot of 'ups and downs' spoken of with the previous brothers but since the change of ownership, Dan has really strived to move this company forward and I believe ML to be a highly trustworthy and reliable specialist. Having taken a couple of great trips down there with StevenH on top of my mother purchasing a B3s Touring from them, I can say with great confidence that they are an incredibly knowledgeable outfit with an immense passion for Bm's. It is a pleasure to see the plethora of M's and rare models they have either visiting or for sale and I personally would now use them solely for any BMW I owned.

Just got my MC back from ML after having Eibachs and rear top shock mounts fitted. Full alignment and geom set up and an oil and filter change. The service was great and reasonably priced. They picked the car up and delivered it back, a not inconsiderable 80 mile round trip and that was FOC. I'll definitely be using them again. :driving:

Took my car to Munich Legends on Sat for:

-Diff oil change
-Gearbox oil change
-Coolant change
-Give the whole car the once over.

Came back with a few small advisories main ones being AUX belt is cracking and needs changing and pitted rear disc’s but other than that all is good, he commented on how clean the car was and how well it drove for an 11 year old car and that he had seen worse condition cars with a third of the mileage. Anyways good to hear news like that. 

Very impressed with the service and it was a great price too.

Some lovely cars there to look at whilst you are waiting as well. A few M1’s in there too
