M By-Pass Pipes fitted with Vid :)

sounds great, cheap too, what exactly are by pass pipes , are you by passing the cats or what ,any diagrams or photos underneath, thanks

Its just a couple of stainless steel 3/4 inch pipes bypassing the back box's. Just allows a small amount of gas to come straight through, easily reversed and retaining the OEM look. Also no drone which most get with aftermarket exhausts :driving:

Isn't this just simulating an exhaust leak? If that's the case, then wouldn't simply drilling a small hole at each input pipe of the back boxes (without the added pipe) yield similar result? A tiny drill hole cost nothing and look much, much more OEM :P ...and you can tune the noise level by the size of the drilled hole too.

Great vid , sounds pretty decent , you have to remember it may sound different on here than actually being with the mc . What do these bypass pipes look like and where do you get them from and are they easy to put on ? Sounds a bargain to me . Great colour red by the way , that was my first choice !

No, because in the UK it would fail the annual MOT for having a leaking exhaust. The bypass gets away with it as it simply diverts some of the flow around the restriction of the baffles.

This has definitely piqued my interest!

Does anyone have a video from the inside whilst the engine is under load? Paza's seems to have disappeared.

I'll have a video from Racing around Silverstone this afternoon from inside the cabin. I'll put it up tomorrow.

I'm looking at selling mine so if anyones interested in these I could be up for a deal, your oem back box's with my oem modified back box's (this mod)

Here's a video from in the car under full load at points, taken yesterday:

To compare and contrast, here's a video taken with the same camera, by the same person in the same position in the same car with the only mechanical difference being this was before I had the bypass pipes fitted.

That was an awesome "Parade" lap at Silverstone, and your exhaust sounded much better than stock, that is a mod I must get done

Thanks very much indeed for posting, sounds very subtle. Ever so slightly bassier than the standard exhaust.

I'll just need to wait and see whether my head or my heart wins on this one!

Guys a few thousand miles down and it sounded in my view considerable better than when first installed less raspe more grumble/pop for me this was a fantastic value mod .....
