The time has come to unfortunately put my Z4 up for sale, as I've now bought a 330D to chew up all the motorway miles with my new job and I've ended up making this SORN because it does no miles. MOT due June 2026.
I bought this last year from BigWinn, and if you want to see the whole project it's documented here and he did a phenomenal job: viewtopic.php?t=146609. It had everything from a VANOS rebuild, to a full seat resto, roof motor relocation and way more.
I've taken it from 133k to 139k, and all I've needed to do in my ownership is replace an injector, she's been used daily and it's been absolutely brilliant driving from Cornwall to Hull, small commutes to work and everything in between. Premium fuel only with every receipt kept, for the extra pennies I noticed I get around 28-38mpg so well worth it in my opinion even if you're not bothered about performance.
Solid service history as follows: 15k | 32k |42k | 49k | 56k | 65l| 74k | 86k | 88k | 109k | 121k | 133k
The most recent was completed by Stuart, who did an Inspection 2 on steroids due to the rebuild, so included gearbox/diff oil, brake fluid and everything else you'll see in the thread.
Alongside this, the water pump was done at 117k, it's got what I'd honestly say is the best sounding exhaust (Powerflow), it's subtle when cruising but sings on full chat and sounds phenomenal. It's had brand new Brembo discs and pads on the front about 150 miles ago, new Bosch wipers this week as the old one perished.
It's got near enough the perfect spec with Xenons, speakers behind seats, heated M sport Red/Black New England leather seats and dash (looks absolutely stunning), Sat Nav with GROM unit so you can use your bluetooth, MFSW, CSL style alloys, other bits like black grilles and stubby.
There are things to note, it's not perfect as it's done best part of 140k but nothing someone handy or with a small spend would have a fantastic and rare E85:
Small scrape on drivers side front bumper.
One alloy has curbing, another has a minor bit but the other two are perfect.
There's a slightly vibration on braking since I had the bottom arm bush replaced at higher speeds, could be the new brakes bedding in or potentially needs alignment after the bush was done.
Handbrake isn't as tight as I'd want it to be.
Slight oil leak on the rocker cover gasket, fully cleaned up after the MOT advisory to try and see exactly where it is exactly but the leak hasn't appeared since so it must be very slow.
Overall it's a gorgeous car, no doubt I'll regret selling it but it just seems a waste.
Based in Hull. Price is £5000 making it the cheapest E85 manual 3.0si for sale as I appreciate summer is coming to an end, but for forum members I'd sell for £4500 as I've had tremendous value in return from this forum and would like it to go to someone who's also in love with these as much as we all are. Let me know if you think I've priced this correctly.
Apologies for the lack of pictures, it's been raining so will get some once it does the car justice but here's a summer pic for the time being.
