Wasn’t sure where to post, but putting it here as I’m hoping it’ll get more exposure.

I contacted Sytner earlier in the week and they don’t have a postal service for small parts. I thought that was strange. Is there a favoured dealer who does post and offer some sort of discount for us Zed members?

Tried the search but I’m on the go so infinitely harder to track down posts which are helpful (via phone).

Probably cos Shytners think they are too important to provide any kind of customer service. I wouldn't give them the steam off my piss TBH.

Always had good experiences with Sopers (Lincoln). They are called something else now, as have been taken over but apparently their parts people are all still there. Always got bit of a discount and free postage.

If not, lots use Cotswold BMW on other forums apparently.
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

Now called Group 1 but do post and usually offer discount when stating you are a forum member

I've always had poor experiences with Sytner. I really don't trust them.

I've heard that Arnold Shark in Kirkcaldy does well for part prices.

I just used Cotswold BMW the other day. I ordered a 12v battery during the early hours of the morning. It was dispatched the same morning and here the next day.

They were also 20% cheaper than next best price.

Sytner Stevenage is good in that you can look up the BMW price of any part, and they do post, although the postage charges are expensive.

I’ve had stuff from Soper’s. They are really helpful and usually give 5% for Forum members. Be prepared to wait a bit if you phone. The spares dept is under-staffed and sometimes there is no-one to answer the phone because they are running around like the proverbial blue ar**** flies.

I rang Sopers (now Group 1) in Lincoln a couple of months ago for a headlight unit. They too are not allowed to post items any more :( I suspect someone in a suit has done a cost analysis. They did offer me a big discount when I reminded them that they used to support the forum and we all when to them for 'cruise control stalks' even with the discount it didn't cover the cost of fuel from mid Norfolk - at least not enough to be any better than the discount the BMW indi gave me who was working on it.

I used Group 1 Lincoln (Sopers) at end of April. Still had the excellent service, same team there and was still discounted and free delivery. Has it changed since then?
