Hello,
I am new to the forum, but greatly appreciate the ability to share information. I am the new owner of a 2003 Z4 3.0. The car has very high miles, but it is in excellent condition. I did find that the side mirrors (both) will move down & right, but not up & left. I tried simple contact cleaner on the connections, but that did not work. I did pull the driver's side door panel off to verify connections (then I found I did not need to do this, that I could remove the switch with out doing this). I have looked online for a replacement switch but no luck so far.
If anyone has suggestions on what to try, or if I can get a replacement switch, it would be greatly appreciated

I would try taking the window switch apart and try cleaning the contacts on the circuit board with isopropanal alcohol.
If that still doesn't help then I have a powerfold grey window switch but I'm sure someone else will have a non powerfold switch.

FYI, the trim cover clips off the switch unit so you can reuse yours and not have to search for one the same colour

Usel and enuf_zed,
Thank you for your feedback. I found parts at Pelican that I have ordered in case the cleaning does not work.
When pulling the connector off the mirror switch, the tab that I pushed to unlock broke. I put it back and it is working, but I believe the locking mechanism is engaged, and without the tab it will be very hard to remove it. I am thinking I will need to find something very thin but firm to slide between the connectors to dis-engage the locking mechanism.
If you have any tricks for this, would greatly appreciate it
