Hi Meds still having no luck as I am also looking into this as I want to fit eibachs but dont want to drop the front as much - it looks like 31331135589 (10mm 7 Series pads) have been replaced by 31331135590 if that helps?Meds wrote: Fri May 23, 2025 9:32 pm I'm having trouble finding the thicker pads, out of stock seemingly.
Waiting on a the 3rd company to confirm availability.
So the e46 top mounts are my next option, if my last effort for the spring pads fails.
I dont suppose you have the part numbers to hand?![]()

Another option to gain a little height is some camber plates.
That should give around 4-5mm depending on brand.
I've got a few ideas to work with.
1st task will be to see if my current top mounts have perished, that could well be my problem as Eibach Pro is a tried and tested setup with many folk reporting zero rubbing issues.
Options (Eibach Pro lower 15-20mm over Msport):

- Spring pads. Availability an issue. (Gain 10mm (uncompressed))
- Strut tower reinforcement plates (Gain 2-3mm)
- E46 top mounts (Gain 10mm)
- Camber plates (Gain 4-5mm)
- Or just leave it as it is.

E46 top mounts are exactly 10 mm thicker than E85 ones.
What are your current measurements from center of hub cap to wing?
With Msport should be around 36 mm. Front and rear.
With Eibach you get into around 34 mm
SE is 38 mm

I have these measurements somewhere, I'll try to find, if not I'll take some more.Straba wrote: Mon May 26, 2025 10:18 pm E46 top mounts are exactly 10 mm thicker than E85 ones.

Thicker spring pads/shims to raise the front a touch?
Thought id update this, had my b4 and eibachs fitted with the 6mm thicker e46 front spring pads. Here is the stance. Pretty happy and its level. Rear has dropped about 15 to 20mm. Front maybe 5mm from before but i think my suspension was so tired it was already lower than standard

Are you running spacers on the fronts and rears? I think B4 + eibach pro's don't run into rubbing if spaced correctly with spacers. I am yet to install this combo (waiting on parts to arrive). I already have 15mm rear and 12mm front spacers so I'm hoping not to run into any rubbing After installation and settling

I had rubbing with a 225/40 front et37 with no spacers. Eibach Pro.
That looks perfect. For reference what was the part number for the 6mm?PedroSouth wrote: Fri Jun 13, 2025 10:17 pm Thought id update this, had my b4 and eibachs fitted with the 6mm thicker e46 front spring pads. Great wheels, too. I had them on my 130i, just watch for cracking as apparently they're quite fragile. I never had an issue, though.

Thanks both. Part number 31331128522, 9mm thick rather than standard 3mm.
No issues with rubbing, no spacers but the 216s offsets mean the wheels sit 13mm further out than standard e86 wheels anyway with the e90 offsets.

Do let me know if the rubbing is linked to worn out top mounts. Already bought new parts for the full assembly (including washers) but considering the E46 spring pads with 6mm difference. Don't want to go through all the effort to install everything only to end up with the same issues you have with B4 + Eibach pro's. Still haven't assembled my spring and dampers yet so I got time to either go with the E85 spring pad or E46.
I have a roadster so not sure if that plays a role between the hight and feel of B4 + Eibach

Many folk with the Eibachs have no issues at all, but others, including me, do.NaweedMustafa wrote: Fri Jun 20, 2025 4:40 pmDo let me know if the rubbing is linked to worn out top mounts. It seems hit and miss.
That's why I think im fighting another hidden issue such as saggy springs, or sunken top mounts..
Upon inspection, though, the top mounts seem fine.

Why would adding spacers help avoid rub?NaweedMustafa wrote: Sat Jun 14, 2025 1:30 am Are you running spacers on the fronts and rears?
