While raising /lowering any convertible roof while moving is not recommended …as it puts undue strain on the working parts .

Understood but when caught in a rainstorm it's easier to slow to a few kmh than stop completely while in traffic. My merc let's me open and close up to about 40 kph. I know the Z can be codes to do the same although probably at lower speed but I am a dummy when it comes to coding with NCS,

I have coded mine with Carly to allow me to drive off with the roof closing or opening but I still have to halt to begin the process

The Gaptech is not going to help you with that, still need to be stopped before it can work
