BBS wheels rear offset

Post by danielr637 » Mon Dec 30, 2024 12:26 am

Hi guys, after getting these bbs split rims refurbed i put the on my e85 3.0. They are 255 at the rear and fronts are 225 tyres. The previous wheels had 225 tyres all round.

After fitting, I’ve noticed a rubbing noise coming from the wheels but yet to inspect, I’m only presuming they are coming from the wheels.

I’m wondering is there any mods I need to do now that I’ve put bigger tyres on the rear? Such as a spacer? Any advice would be helped before I jack the car up tomorrow and have a look

Thanks

They look like OE 108s that had 255/35 tyres on the rear as standard.

So I don't think the wheel/tyre combination is the problem.

The offset is et50 at the rear and can usually cope with a 20mm spacer at least. Very odd to have rubbing, unless they are not on properly or you have a very large spacer fitted
