help please

Post by rob172cup » Thu Sep 17, 2009 11:04 am

Hi
I’m in a dilemma I stupidly went into a garage the other day just for a look!! Now im considering the following

New z4 3.0 roadster
Alpine white
Sports auto
Black leather
Bluetooth
Aluminum trim
Anthracite headlining
19” alloys
Park distance control
Heated sports seats

I’ve been offered it at £33300 now is this as good a deal as I think or would I be able to get this offer again?
How much would the car be worth in 4 years with about 25k on it?
Please give your opinions as I don’t know what to do aaarrrgggghhh!!!!

Thanks

Rob

was the car actually there? sounds very like an offer my local dealer made to me when i was in collecting some spares a few weeks back. said the car was in Yorkshire, a cancelled order. As it happened, I didnt have 33k in me at the time

Hi There
33K for the 3.0i with your spec is,in my opinion, very very good. I have just ordered a 3.0i very similar spec and it still cost £500 more and that's with a manual gearbox. Thought I had a good deal!!!! Good on you, go for it!!

You should wait a few more months for a used 3.5i with sat nav. and DCT. They are around £38k at the moment. Why buy a brand new 3.0i now and have deep depreciation? It will be worth about £14k in 4 years time.
Current BMW: 640d Gran Coupe M Sport (F06), 118d SE (F20).
Previous BMW: Z4 sDrive23i M Sport (E89), 318i Sport (F30), 120d SE (F20), Z4 2.5i Sport Roadster (E85), 523i Sport (E60), 323Ci (E46), 523i SE (E39), 318i (E36).

I'd say that was a very good price. What's the deal with the balloon though - can you hand it back? It'll never be worth £15,800 after four years you see, but if you can hand it back why worry.

What are the payments/APR like, I saw 12% advertised :(

If it's a BMW Select agreement and you can definitely hand the car back after four years then it's a great deal, just be careful because there are some deferred finance deals around like a PCP except you have to keep the car and pay the balloon, handing it back isn't an option.

When do you get it :P

God knows!! Im now franticly looking at other options im off through to look at a second hand cayman tonight and also looking into a second hand z4 coupe 3.0 what are they like? Have they lost most of their money or would i still loose a fair chunk if i spent 23k on one?
