Low miles seems around the right ball park in what people are advertising them for.
You really wouldn’t know what’s causing the engine light unless you scan it. Or have a crystal ball at this stage

The price gap between “low miles” coupes and “high miles” coupes seems to be massive at the moment with several <50k cars advertised at over £15k and >100k cars around £7k. This one looks well cared for, but has only been serviced when the indicator says so, i.e. 3 times in 16 years. 5 year old oil and brake fluid, probably original spark plugs etc. Inspection 2 must be a priority for the new owner.

I'd save £5K and buy this one:- viewtopic.php?t=140155
It's still a low mileage example given its age, and 75K miles is nothing for an N52!

I'm inclined to think the sub 50k examples are likely to stay low and perhaps be kept or run as classics in the distant future.Mr Tidy wrote: ↑Sat May 13, 2023 4:52 pm I'd save £5K and buy this one:- viewtopic.php?t=140155

My coupes a 2006 with 38.5k miles. At the rate I use it, it'll still be sub 50k miles in 2035 . It might be quite special to own a 2006 Z4c on 2035 with <50k miles on it.
I am, of course, readying up mine for selling.
Was reading about the N52 engines last night. They are quite a feat..never knew how widely used they were until I spend some time looking into it

I wouldn’t go near this car at that price with the creativity described ‘full service history’. Suggests the current owner had been running her on a tight budget

I suppose low mileage examples will always attract a premium, but £5K for 31,000 less miles seems a bit extreme to me!dmo wrote: ↑Sat May 13, 2023 10:29 pmI'm inclined to think the sub 50k examples are likely to stay low and perhaps be kept or run as classics in the distant future.Mr Tidy wrote: ↑Sat May 13, 2023 4:52 pm I'd save £5K and buy this one:- viewtopic.php?t=140155

At £15K+ they are almost straying into MC pricing, albeit higher mileage Ms.
I was so impressed with the N52 engines in my Coupes I've had a couple of 3 Series with them. My current 330i has done 120K miles and still runs like new which is why higher mileages wouldn't bother me, although I know most UK buyers seem to have an issue with 6 figure mileages.

+1 on everything you’ve said there including running E90 N52’s mine has 118k and apart from routine maintenance only needed a water pumpMr Tidy wrote: ↑Sun May 14, 2023 4:44 pmI suppose low mileage examples will always attract a premium, but £5K for 31,000 less miles seems a bit extreme to me!dmo wrote: ↑Sat May 13, 2023 10:29 pmI'm inclined to think the sub 50k examples are likely to stay low and perhaps be kept or run as classics in the distant future.Mr Tidy wrote: ↑Sat May 13, 2023 4:52 pm I'd save £5K and buy this one:- viewtopic.php?t=140155

Considering it's sustained some actual impact and it's still going for 12k actually suggests 16k for a low mileage and clean example is actually good value.Mr Tidy wrote: ↑Sat May 13, 2023 4:52 pm

I bought a repaired Cat D once upon a time. Got it for 1/3 of the price and couldn't shift it for 1/3 of what I'd paid for it 6yrs later. Had every option box ticked too.

The difference here is that this car isn’t a CAT car, we only know about the damage because the seller has disclosed that information. So it’s the exact same as any other car that’s been in a bump, repaired by insurance/individual and sold on. I would buy that car no problem and run it.dmo wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2023 10:14 amConsidering it's sustained some actual impact and it's still going for 12k actually suggests 16k for a low mileage and clean example is actually good value.Mr Tidy wrote: ↑Sat May 13, 2023 4:52 pm

Re your own car, you’re entitled to advertise and accept whatever you feel is acceptable.
This sort of question has been asked multiple times about worth and mileage’s etc from both sellers and purchasers.
Completely personally, in my view what I thought was the top of the market was an E86 flagged up on here several months ago. It was a pristine black with red MSport interior 28k miles with a good history iirc. Always garaged and part of a collection, it was mint and it was on for mid £14k somewhere. I can’t remember the exact price but I thought to me top of the market because as has been said you can get into a leggier M for that sort of money, which I personally wouldn’t do.
I seriously considered the 28k one because I would’ve liked a low mileage to start with as I would’ve put many miles on it, not preserved the low mileage. It would’ve been bought for a good starting point not to stick in a garage. This is for me where yours wouldn’t appeal to me because it’s too expensive for what I would do with it. Adding the miles would greatly decrease the value of both cars so I’d go for the lower miles, lower price one to start with as I’m losing money anyway.
My M40i is under 2 years old, nearly 17k miles and is only used at weekends etc. I buy to use, not to preserve mileage for the next owner to benefit.
All imho. None of this is criticism of your ask or sale and that’s why I’ve posted this here rather than anywhere near your sales thread

MOT history shows MIL on a few times in consecutive MOTs. Any cause for concern?
