Congrats bud, definitely the right choice of the two, no bloody chrome wheels

Enjoy many happy miles in it :driving:

I'm having the wheels refurbed in chrome :D

It’ll still look better than that other monstrosity :poke:

Very nice Steve, like the colour and wheels, the decals are a no for me but it wouldn't have stopped me if it was the right car.

I think the roof off motoring will be a miss - lets hope the drive makes up for it

Looks like you sourced a nice motor there Steve.Like you say the decals spoil the look.I sold my Z the other week and am now looking for something interesting.

Open minded at the moment. If your going up to the Ponderosa for a run ,give us a call.It would be good to see your new motor.

It feels fantastic on the road, I would say the S definitely has more poke low down in the revs from my test drive experience but if you bave the base in the right gear and rev range it pulls like a train, perfect for the road.. could have bought a pre facelift S for the same or less money but the peace of mind of the new engine reliability was at the front of my mind

I’d also be worried about the earlier engines. Whether it’s overstated or not, the lingering fear of a 10k bill would probably spoil the experience. It’s bad enough with a Z4m!

Looks great - well it would if the decals were gone.

Enjoy scratching that itch.

Absolutely love a 987. I've put 60k miles on my daily 987.2 PDK S and it's just laughed it off. Drove it non stop from North of Scotland to West Wales and then down to Chichester recently. Don't think I'll ever sell mine and the 981 steering was such a disappointment in comparison when I looked at changing when the 981 was released. The 718 is a great car but has lost some of the 987 analogue old school balance.

Those aren't the turbo wheels however, they're 19" Carrera wheels, I have the same.

great looking 987 mate! :) I am just seriously discussing with my girlfriend to "upgrade" from our e85 to 987, because 987 is the only option, as it is a proper Porsche.

I wish you manny happy and accident-free miles!
