Replying to posts with quoted text / member mention
Hi
I’m new to the forum, and trying to figure out the features.
I’ve tried to reply to posts clicking the “ button to the right of the posters name, but the reply text box just shows up blank. I can’t figure what I’m doing wrong.
Also, how would I mention a members name in my post,?
Thanks!

Hi, thanks. That’s the exact button I clicked but the text box came up blank. After I clocked 3 posts, the feature seemed to start working!jock156 wrote: Sat Feb 19, 2022 8:32 amClick on the “ white box top right of the light grey box. After 3 posts you can do more things on the forum. I think it’s to stop spammers

Well I gave up trying for while as it ended on the end of the person I was replying to. So I tried removing it and got into even more mess
it looked as if I was messing with members posts

Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

I would add that I think there is a limit on the number of cascaded, quotes within quotes. Not sure how many. Keep requoting this and we should find out soon enough though.

Edit: I note the first quote has gone. So that cascade limit is 4.
