Offsets...again!
Sorry. Another question on offsets as I’m going round in circles here!
I’ve been on willtheyfit and getting all sorts of measurement back with carious wheel types. Front wheel wise, on a 18 inch rim and with an offset of 35 its got a poke out of around 18mm. I just worry its not going to be flush with the arch and I absolutely dont want the wheels sticking further out.
Basically Im looking for CSL reps, 18inch staggered (with a nice concave rear), in quartz silver or gunmetal that dont need spacers and wont look wrong on my E86.
Any advice or links to wheels that would fit the bill appreciated

Offsets...again! Wheel help needed.
We have run, front 18x8.5 Apex EC7, and ARC8 same spec ET35 on our E86 coupe. With a 10mm spacer and 225/40 section tyres
Rear same type wheel, 18x9.5ET35 10mm spacer, 255/35 sections tyres, and perfect flush fitment front and rear.
Without spacers you will be "underhung' (is that a word?) by 10mm. Our tyres are NEXEN brand, so quality tyres and similar to Continental or Michelin in terms of performance, and sizing. OE supplier to BMW too.
DO IT

Here we go round again.........!
If those fronts are 8J like MV2s, 108s, etc. that are ET47 then those ET35 wheels will sit 12mm further out so shouldn't be a problem.
The 8J ET29 fronts I put on my previous Coupe didn't rub but from what others have said they might have been marginal, especially with new tyres.

Sorry all - I know this is a repetitive post!
Wheels Im looking at are either 8 or 8.5 front and either 8.5, 9, 9.,5 or 10 on the rear. I just cant decide what to go for - and don't even mention colour as I’m stuck between quartz silver and gunmetal
After a poll I did back in January, the clear winner were M4 CS reps, but the CSL style wheels just look so classic. Don't want anything too blingy and want whatever I get to match the style, lines or era of the car.
What i really need are a set of 224s

Offsets...again!
I've narrowed my search down to 2 x types of wheel. One of which is available in the following sizes and offsets:
Sizes
8.5×18 - ET30 to ET45
9.5×18 - ET30 to ET45
To fill the rim for flushness and not need spacers, am I right in thinking that the best offset for the front and rear would be ET45 based on a standard E86 setup?

With those wheels (and based on a standard staggered setup of 8x18 ET47 and 8.5x18 ET50) you would have 8.35mm more front protrusion than stock and 17.7mm more rear protrusion than stock.inkey$ wrote: ↑Wed Jun 09, 2021 2:42 pm I've narrowed my search down to 2 x types of wheel. I would therefore suggest maybe going for around ET40 at the front (if you can) to bring the front out to 13mm protrusion. You will want ET45 for the rear as 17.7mm is a pretty typical spacer choice (some go 15mm, others go 20mm).
Bear in mind, my little calculator above doesn't take into account inboard protrusion (ie potential clashing with damper tube).

If I was to go with a square setup - so 8.5 all round - would would that tweak in terms of offset requirements?TheDan wrote: ↑Wed Jun 09, 2021 2:48 pmWith those wheels (and based on a standard staggered setup of 8x18 ET47 and 8.5x18 ET50) you would have 8.35mm more front protrusion than stock and 17.7mm more rear protrusion than stock.inkey$ wrote: ↑Wed Jun 09, 2021 2:42 pm I've narrowed my search down to 2 x types of wheel. 8.5 all round means the advice for the fronts above will stay the same (somewhere around the ET40 mark). The rears would probably need to drop to ET35 or even ET30. The picture below shows what it would be like with front 8.5 ET40 and rear 8.5 ET35.
Basically, on E85/E86 with M-Sport suspension you are aiming for around 12-15mm front protrusion from standard and 12-20mm rear protrusion. If the car has been lowered (Eibach, H&R or otherwise) then I've seen about 12mm at the front is the most you can go to on 18" wheels before rubbing occurs at full lock.
