Just got a shout a few seconds after the post and the answer is no. The booking system at first appears great.9Hence the post) It shows you venues and appointment options for first and second jabs, you select the place. date and times and when you confirm the booking it tells you one of the chosen appointments is no longer available. What it doesn't tell you is which isn't available. It could be the first appointment or the second, it could be the date, the venue or the time. It just ends the booking and you have to start the process over again. After an hour you soon get sick of it and give up.

The way things are going the non vaccinated people won't need to have the vaccine now as it appears the virus is dying out.

Amazing what a few jabs, to those that take responsibility for the general populations health, does isn't it?Stevo1987 wrote: Tue Mar 02, 2021 9:21 pm The way things are going the non vaccinated people won't need to have the vaccine now as it appears the virus is dying out.

Who would have thought that if you gave the vaccine to the people that need it and flu season ends the deaths drop.
Magic.

Friend of ours tried to get hers booked. There is a centre in Attleborough, less than a mile from her house. No chance! Due to 'quotas' she was offered Peterborough or Huntingdon: both about 1.5 hours drive.Nanu wrote: Tue Mar 02, 2021 9:06 pmJust got a shout a few seconds after the post and the answer is no. Anyway, she found a phone number on the booking site somewhere and rang that. Got a really helpful chap who booked her in at Attleborough and said while she was on the phone he may as well book the second one for her at the same place.
Not sure how she found the number, and it may be regional differences, but worth a try maybe?

I am a bit resistant to calling them "selfless" though, these are people who are most at risk and are actually only really protecting themselves (with an unconfirmed belief that it does reduce transmission) with the virus thats all. Plenty of people who havent had the vaccine have given and lost so much more and will continue to do so until we drop the draconian measures

We're all in this together. Being a recipient of the vaccine one is getting acquired immunity for oneself and contributing to the herd immunity for all. Those who deliberately refuse to be vaccinated when it is offered are benefitting the protection from "the herd" but unwilling to do the same for the herd.Flyingfifer wrote: Wed Mar 03, 2021 10:48 am I am a bit resistant to calling them "selfless" though, these are people who are most at risk and are actually only really protecting themselves (with an unconfirmed belief that it does reduce transmission) with the virus thats all.

But will you stop being so selfish and take the experimental vaccination that you don't need for the virus that has no real significant effect on you (assuming you don't have any medical conditions at your age of low 30's ) just to keep these old farts that have been plugged into their daily dose of fear porn from MSM for the last year and a half.
My business turned over 30% of what it did in it's 1st year and today the taxman will announce how much more money he will take from the profits from this years to pay for all of this. I have friends who have lost theirs, who are unemployed (or will be when furlough ends in September) but we are the selfish ones who want to have the option to take the vaccine. The people who have shut up shop to protect the elderly for the last year...
Makes you giggle doesn't it.
