I started off on a Honda CBF 125 in my early 20's. I was commuting from North London to Fulham and back every day and soon decided to do my DAS shortly after.
I opted for a CB600F as my first big bike:-
A few years later I then started working for a Motorrad dealer and got onto their company vehicle scheme so sold the CB600F. I had to start off on a G310 R which was surprisingly quite fun to commute on:-
I then moved onto an F800 GT after four months which was perfect for the commute:-
Shortly before I left, I was fortunate to use an S1000R for a short while (aswell as an R Nine T and F750 GS):-
I didn't have a bike from October 2018 and then in May 2019 purchased another CB600F:-
Unfortunately it does not look quite as mint as it does above, I had an unfortunate incident and came off (luckily no one was hurt) and I have decided to leave the battle scars and just run this into the ground.
I would like to get an R Nine T / S1000 R / 765 RS next but will not be for a while. The accident unfortunately has put me off having a nice bike for commuting and I always make sure I've got my Go Pro on when I leave the house now!

I went off the blade after I binned it the second time. Got a new bike and all’s good in the world.

R1200RS SE all the whistles and bells plus a load of bits added by the previous owners.
Bought the bike a year ago with 2500 miles at 4 years old, first owner did 91 miles in 3 years.
I have added another 1000 since ownership, hopefully a lot more to be added in 2021.

Have added a Maud and Mavis shot ! My old next door neighbour and I completely independently and without knowledge of what each other was doing bought the same bike ( bar colour scheme ) within a week of each other. We had both discussed how we liked them for a few years but the timing was a bit spooky.

Really like these, particularly in this colour. It’s on my current shortlist once ready to move on from my current bike, a Super Tenere.Fireball wrote: ↑Sat Feb 06, 2021 7:20 pm R1200RS SE all the whistles and bells plus a load of bits added by the previous owners.

I moved from a K1300 GT to this bike due to hip surgery, the GT was a bit too heavy causing me problems. The 1200 RS is a surprising bike, although not as powerful as the GT I reckon on most A and B roads in the UK the travel time between points will be about the same. The RS is much more relaxed to ride quickly than the GT. The only downside I can see at the moment is luggage space, it took my partner a long time to understand “ travelling light “ . The RS has a lot less space than the GT so she is going to have to take travelling light to a whole new level - wear one / spare one here we come !!!!! 2 weeks on the continent ( when we can ) is going to be challenging.

Well, it's not a motorbike, it's Vespa, I am a Vespa rider for decades now, starting with old 1983 PX200, and just changed them like socks. Now I have a 2003. Vespa GranTourismo 200ccm, and love it! It is my daily commuter during spring, summer and autumn, and also for road trips with my girlfriends.
I really respect your serious bikes, impressive!

Here is a picture of my Moto Guzzi V7 II Special. Not as quick as the 3.0si, but I love the look and the vibrations
