Can you as a person be a carrier

Can any objects items you have with you carry the virus

If so it is only the person that has had that is safer

If I read it right, it does mean that a second wave of health care people who have had the virus can then approach the sick without specific protective gear then as they are now immune for it?

The same with law and order, the police who have had it, can get in proximity of the people they need to deal with?

If you’re immune could you not still be a carrier & infect others?

If immune health care workers were to approach infected patients without any form of PPE, their skin and clothing would still carry infected material if they come into contact with it, which they could then transfer to others both in and outside the workplace environment, so they still require PPE in the workplace to prevent spread to others. Or are you thinking along the lines of them operating in some kind of Coronavirus "colony" in isolation of the outside world?

All eyes on China now as they lift restrictions inside the Wuhan city. Hopefully they will find a way to be honest about the reinfection rate.

I think our only salvation will be a vaccine.
The infections will rumble on then flare up in the autumn.

It also concerns me that the USA authorities seem to be burying their heads in the sand ?

I was thinking more of a shower and change of clothes after a shift regime without the need of full protective gear which could then be used by those who need it.

It does not penetrate skin so I would not know how you can infect others once washed.

Am I missing something here, the government is spending 5.8 million to send a letter and leaflet to every household as part of its public information, why? I would prefer the money was directed elsewhere to help fight the virus.

It is a damed if you do damed if you don't

They will have been seen to try their best to get the message to every one

Also sending the letter to the most at risk, most at risk people would already know they are at risk but there would be some that would say no-one told me I was at risk

food parcels to the vulnerable my dad may fall into that group but he has money in the bank and the ability to sort out his own, as he has been doing since my mum went into care.

They do not have time or resources to pick and choose so every one in the group will get whatever the group is damed to require needed or not.

Are there no voluntary organisations locally who can help. Around here there are groups doing shopping and delivering to the vunerable. Is there anyone in this link that could be of assistance. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/no ... p-17925854

Maybe I should volunteer to do your shopping then - Berkshire to Durham would be a good run out in the Z4!

There are loads of self help groups over 7000, struggling to understand why Ron is having a hard time ..I did ask if he wanted help but never replied..
