Heated seats.stay on ?

Hi.if you switch on the heated seats.
Then turn off ignition so they go off is it normal for them to turn on again when you turn ignition on again.
But only once after that they stay off.?

Yes,

If you turn the car back on before it has completely shut down (2-5 minutes....never really timed it) then the heated seats will turn back on.

Quite useful if you just jump out to nip into the shop!

Some actually had a good idea. Wish they did that in the E85. Number of times I have set off for a Sunday morning drive. Seats on warming nicely, pop in the petrol station, drive off. 20 mins later realize l'frezing my butt off. :? then remember to switch them on again. :)

And of course the main heater will stay on if you press it before you leave the car and keeps the cabin warm for several minutes.

No mention of it in the manual, but when you vacate the car, say to pop into a shop, press the right fan button and the centre green led lights and warm air will circulate for several minutes whilst you are away from the car.

It is in the manual (well it is in mine). I think it’s called something like “residual heating system”.

How long will it run for
Until the coolant in the engine is no longer warm enough to deliver the temp demanded on the cabin control OR until your battery runs too low driving the water pump.
