Noticed today that the problem I've been having intermittently seems to be as if the Automatic Choke (if it has one) is not turning itself off.
When changing gear the clutch is very jumpy and the car lurches forward.
Taking the car out of gear even when parked and the engine seems to be above the normal idle speed. When driving in 5th at around 30 - 40 mph I don't even need to touch the pedal as the car drives itself.
It is now driving me insane as it's been like this on and off since Inspection I in June.
Anyone got any ideas.

disconnect battery for 20 minutes (don't sit in the car), reconnect battery, put ignition in "start" position (but don't turn to start), press accelerator 4x FULL, start car.
Throttle body open / closed sensor are reset. Might cure your problem.
If not: might dirty idle valve, happens quite a lot, but normally only on higher mileage cars. Only can't see how inspection I could trigger it...
