Sports display and boost pressure

Post by ori » Sat Apr 24, 2021 2:20 pm

So with roof down weather now happening more and more. It’s interesting to look at the sports display under vehicle information and listen to that fabulous engine as good intended.
So now I can finally notice the turbo whistle when accelerating.
Boost pressure seems to be 15 psi (just over 1 bar).
Power indicates around the 340bhp.
Sound out the back is lovely in sports mode.

I’m actually surprised how loud the turbo whistle is compared to my previous 35is. I would only occasionally hear the dump valve on that.

That’s ‘cos your 35iS wasn’t blue Ori

Do the G29’s have enhanced exhaust note/engine noise through the speakers?

You’re right! It was the slower black version! ;)

I think it has to some artificial sound pumped through the speakers. However the 6 cylinder makes plenty of noise out the back pipes.
