Good news Shane. I hope now it is trouble free and you can enjoy the car at last

My Z4 Ownership experience / Garage

Post by Z4Shane007homas » Wed Sep 15, 2021 6:05 pm

So it seems that i got it wrong, the problem is still not fixed and the original problem persits. i haven't driven the car since Monday brought some things today to detail it on the weekend. I have already been on touch with the garage that i brought it from to say it still continues. obviously he left it in the hands of the BMW specialist, and he told them to check but he was advised that it was ok.

I am close to wanting a refund, but i really like the car

Then surely the Z4 specialist needs to have it back to get it sorted?

Do you really want a refund or is it just the frustration? one thing for certain if you keep the car you need an extend warranty.

Yeah I've sent the garage owner a message saying its got to go back to the BMW specialist for them to sort it.

At the moment, this is all at his cost, so it's ok. Just glad I spotted it in the first place. My first ever convertible - what a palavour

Thanks, it's something very small, but I don't have the knowledge on it. As said before it might just be a split pipe leaking fluid, so hopefully it will be sorted soon. I know the garage had just spent £650 on it. So I said he needs to contact the specialist, and say the problem wasn't rectified.

So just an update on my Z4, I went to a local BMW garage today. They have said hydralic strut, pipe work needs replacing. (£2k) :| 😑

I presume this was Sytners on the A40 London Road in Loudwater? They are a bunch of sharks, or used to be.
What has your selling dealer said to this?

It may at least be worth messaging RobbiZ4. He may be able to give a second opinion on diagnosis and point the way forward. He really does know his stuff when it comes to roofs.

2K seems a lot of money, maybe worth contacting ross at Hook as well for an opinion, he is on here as Bowser 134 and he is an ex BWM master tech
