It's got loads of options but not the extended lighting unfortunately. It has the ski hatch option and lots of netting around the cabin so I'll have a look for a driver's side cubby hole by the steering wheel.

If you have 'netting' and the elasticated straps in the boot, then you have 'extended storage' so you should have the coin holder drawer aswell.
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

Either side inside the boot / trunk is a warning sticker for No bags. I'm assuming this is because if you put a bag there it will block the roof opening mechanism? Or is it ok to put light bags there?

Don't even put a kernel of popcorn there. Roof will jam. Also never leave that little compartment door open. Again the roof will seriously jam.

You can put whatever you like there, as long as you don't open the roof!
Because both roof panels are curved, when stowed they 'droop' at both sides into that area.
Best bet is to open the roof, then open the boot to see how much room there is. That will tell you what you can and can't fit in there.
I tell my misses not to put ANYTHING there, ever, just in case. A damaged roof panel or hydraulics is not worth the risk IMO.

Thanks both. It's a bit mad that BMW didn't put side partitions there to stop anything from ending up in that bit of boot space.

Once the 'shelf' is in position nothing can fall across into either area easily. They are also higher than the main boot space. Just think of the boot as somewhere to store the roof, nothing more. :D

Can you adjust the bonnet /hood catches? The bonnet shuts fine and stays shut while driving. But one side feels slightly high so I can press down on it a few mm.

Quite a complex operation involving the hinges and catches..need access to TIS really to do the job or off line workshop manual..
We choose to go to on with this endeavour at this time and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard…
A very modified Atacama Yellow 35is

There are four rubber bungs which you can adjust the height of by turning them clockwise or anticlockwise. It might help. You can see one in your photo I've highlighted it in the red circle, there is one on either side and then another one either side a bit higher up. I think you can just about see it on the bottom edge of your photo.

Why?
It's the intended area to place the roof into. Any additonal partition would block the roof - or better would be crahed by the roof. 8)

I've got the interior colour code LCYC. Could anyone tell me what colour this is as I wanted to get some leather dye to cover a small mark on one seat. I'm guessing it's some kind of beige or cream.
