ZZZZ spotting is bad for your health

Driving home tonight I spotted a Z4 E89 coming off a small roundabout, whilst trying to spot plate and other detail I was stupidly still driving forward onto the roundabout and almost came a cropper with an oncoming mini, the other driver really let rip with the horn and hand gestures, I gave an apologetic wave,

Newbies.... a discreet wave or a slight toot on the horn is all that's required, crashing your vehicle is a bit of overkill.

So do we (I can finally say that now) Z4 drivers acknowledge each other? Looking forward to waving at fellow coupe and roadsters - used to do it in my Focus St and most of the time just got dirty looks...
