Zunsport Grill - Anyone bothered?

Just wondering if anyone has opted to install a full Zunsport Grill to their Zed?

I'm in two minds whether to bother or not as I've had a set on a previous car and the quality and look was reasonable.

Any pictures or opinions welcomed.

Cheers!

I looke dinto it extensively a couple of years back

See this thread:

Verdict was a unanimous 'no' to either upper or lower grilles.

Also here, where having taken the Zed to the factory for a test fit as they had at the time never had any on a Zed I had difficulty stopping them using my Zed for PR photos

FYI the lower grille actually bends over the plastic fin in the grille so it bows in the centre - no ideal

I've got a Zunsport lower grille on mine ( to cover a bird strike hole on the OE plastic one) and it fitted a treat and I like the look. The mesh kidney grills IMO look really crap. Each to their own though.

imo i dont like them.. too max power... saw their stand a few years ago at rising sun - the santapod show... good quality (for chicken wire) but seemed a little pricey.

Just had a look on the website at £186.39 for a set not very nice.
They make the Zed look like my old MG ZT

Damn - so despite assuring me they would remove it 2 years later Zunsport continue to use my car as the facelift model, despite never puchasing it and just going to the factory to see what they looked like

Personally I think the oem black plastic looks cheap and should have had chrome mesh as standard to give it that BMW quality look. (just my opinion)

but I have sterling grey, which suits chrome. And the preface lift front end.

I got the lower zunsport grille and I love it, perfect fit too, no sagging as CJ experienced.

There is a few pics of mine on this thread http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=23232

Hotride - your's id fitted to a pre facelift front and looking at the pictures it fits flush. and neatly. If you look at the shot of mine that's been posted above you can see on a facelift how it bows out (not sagging).

This is the design to get around the horizontal fin in the lower grille, without cutting or modding it. Not very neat when you see it. Gives a very amateur look to the fitment.

Ahh cheers CJ, after having another look I see what you mean. I wouldn't be to happy with that fitment.

The facelift does look good without the grille, but I still think the zunsport lower grille significantly improves the pre-facelift front

I'm going to have to agree with this....I reckon the Zunsport lower grille in black on a pre facelift does look much better than the standard plastic option...by pre facelift I'm presuming that we are talking of the E85 variant.

Think I'm going to go for it...if it looks tail then its only £100 or so tops.

I think I like it on sterling grey...
well definitely on the lower grille... not too sure about the kidney ones.
