ZermattV & Adamski - Cairn O'Mount Roadtrip

With the snow gone, ZermattV and I went on a mid week road trip, from Edzell to Fettercairn, then over the Cairn O'Mount road, through Banchory, and then took the slug road to Stonehaven :thumbsup:

A great drive, with the roof down from Fettercairn onwards really :)

There was a PM sent to the members on the Scottish Meets thread, shame more of you couldn't make it :poke: :P :lol:

Will post tomorrow - Great way of spending thursday night - strange spring weather.

When Adam and i talked about this last week I don't think we imagined that we would be seeing quite so much snow on Cairn O'Mount this week - last time i drove over the top last week they were putting out a heathland fire because of the warm dry spring .

Memorable moments - the Impromptu ST Fiesta meet that was going on at Cairn O' Mount and how well sheep blend into the snow when they are next to the roadside.
 
Hehe - yeah 3 Fiesta STs on a random meet at the same time was a but weird :? :lol:

Looks a tad chilly, those coupes look stunning. Couldn't make it but never recieved a PM about it :poke:
Still look on the bright side the sun is shining here in Italy and I may go through to Modena at the weekend :P .

Is this the start of the Flash Hoon revolution ? We should have similar local threads for each county... There's at least 4 of us in Kent if not more - though not much in the way of mountainous scenery down here o :(

Sorry Jimmy / Richard PM sent only to Aberdeenshire /Angus and Fife lot from the scotland meets list it was a bit of an impromptu idea late last week.... and to be honest a long way to come just for the Cairn O'Mount and the Slug .

How is that road these days? It's a fantastic road but the condition of it was dubious recently from what I remember?
 
Adamski said he was concered about it a bit in places - i drove over it and back and was less worried about it - this might say a lot about the state of the rest of Aberdeenshires country roads .

Felt very southern Alps ... although Monte Carlo has nothing on Stonehaven ...
