Zeds in Germany

Oddly enough I only saw two Z4s during my time in the Fatherland ( one that didn't seem to move very much close to my parent's house ). I did, however, see at least six Z3s in the same time, all invariably very well kept and sparkling clean. Over here I invariably see more 4s than 3s. No idea as to why this is the case. Anyone want to hazard a guess ?
Anyway, for your delight, as I staggered out from the implantologist's, I spotted this prime example parked near to our car and took a pic :)

Sorry but the luggage rack on the bootlid is horrible and shouldn't it be fitted with the the stoprail at the back to hold the luggage....... :|
 
Recently a group of German lads were staying where I live in Edinburgh City centre. Turned out one of the guys was a medic who owned a e93 M3. Once he saw me at my car he made a beeline to talk to me but also informed me he knew very little of the Z cars because he'd never driven one and they weren't that popular especially the one I have in Germany. He did however tease me with the fact he got to test drive a M3 on the Autobahn and couldn't believe that in the UK we are limited to 70mph yet seem to love our performance cars.

So I'm not surprised you've not seen many Z4s after that chat I had
 
Your right, they do seem few and far between.(E85/86) Having said that, purely by chance I parked my previous zed opposite an identical German registered car in a village near Koblenz!
There does seem to be more E89's around in Germany now. Could it be that the Germans have more confidence in the car now that its made in Germany?

This debate always came up on z3 forum. It can go either way around- it's designed for a special clip on suitcase, but having it at the front helps prevent luggage wiping out the driver in the case of hard braking. Also, having It that way around is the only way to transport skis. Official z3 merch showed it both ways around.
 
Last time we were in Germany visiting the sis inlaw's parents .......
the old boy was totally ecstatic about the Zed .......
He says they never see them over there ........ :D
