Zed withdrawal symptoms

Smart arse :headbang:

First time I've ever been called that....

Self employed so no works pensions for either of us, buy carefully in the right area especially in student and near hospitals areas and away you go, bricks and mortar will outlive us and be there for the lads kids should he have any.

I was determined to use the Z4 as a daily driver after selling the M. But so far still using the RX8 as my work car and the Zed has replaced the Z4M in the garage.
Will drop to one car next year when I finely retire.

I dont see the point in owning something if you dont use it.
You are only keeping it good for the next owner.
Our cars are used daily and always do around 7000 miles every year.

Yes you're right but there's sometimes more to it than that, I only use mine for approx 3-4K a year, mainly as I have a van for work and weekends are taken up with my 9 yr old and on going house renovations, I simply don't have the time to use it more. It's crazy having a new one for this purpose I know that, but only my 2nd ever new car and I'm a bufty, a secret concours fan, it's the first time I've managed to get one, so having a new car with only dry use feeds my weird hobby...polishing and not using... I get a lot out of just owning a mint showroom car, all the suspension parts clean, underneath etc, it's crazy I know but some of us are ill... My sensible head says sell up now and buy an Alpina E85 or a Boxster or cheaper E89 and use it come rain or shine, it's just getting the heart to agree which is the stumbling block.
3 or 4 thousand miles a year is perfectly acceptable.
And only using a car for a few hundred miles a year if its a classic car is ok too.
But to me a new car doing under 1000 miles a year is bonkers.

If you are anything like me, I would have a hard time enjoying an anything less than mint car. And not knowing the history, I have always hated every single second hand car I have ever had.

So Glad its just not me :)
