Z4mc one year on

So I've had my coupe for a year this weekend.
It's now showing 4813 miles at about 25mpg so I haven't driven it enough I guess.
I seem to do blocks of mileage , maybe 200 miles in a go and then go quiet for a bit.
Obviously it's not cost me anything service wise yet ,although the dealer did try it on with the running in service.
So I've spent about a £1000 on tax and insurance with the depreciation aspect a little bit of an unknown really.

Normally I change cars pretty quick. Eg : M3 six months, lotus six months, various TVR's etc.
The longest I kept something was my Cerbera which I had 20 months before It fell out with a tree and a wall!!
At the moment I don't feel at all like im ready to sell, in fact it still feels like I'm getting used to the car and I have a few things I'd like to do to it.
The other thing is it still seems so new.
As far as I can tell there are no chips, no scratches no scuffs etc so it would be a shame to look after it so well and then let someone else have it.

I'm looking forward to another year(economy permitting) and hopefully getting a few more miles on it this year.

Glad you're loving the car
but does this mean your car hasn't had the run in service?

Running in service done at 1100 miles.

Forgot to add...... If I did sell, what would I buy for similar money with the same comnbination of pace ,style, practicality etc?
Also forgot to say I love the noise, pace, flat cornering and general sports car feel.

So do BMW's in the UK not have "BMW Motorplan"? In my country all new BMW's are sold with a fully transferable 5 year / 100 000km BMW Motorplan covering all service costs. We only pay for oil and brake fluid top ups in between services, and fuel and tyres.

No. We get screwed over by BMW in many ways in the UK.

have u never even for one moment sat down..put ur head in ur hands and thought

"fcuk me....i should've bought a 2.0"

perhaps its about time u did :D

thanks for reading guys

Milu, you need to drive it a little more often!
I've only done 4,000 in the last year in mine, originally used it to commute once or twice a week but then changed jobs and use the second car all the time now. She's become a real 'weekend only' car and hardly used through the Winter. Intend to make up for it this summer though :)

Its not just the UK, Aussies are screwed even more. The purchase price of a BMW in Aus is at least 3x what you pay, then we have no extended warranties and exorbitant servicing charges. They are just lucky that I really love the zed.......

i wish i had more time.
Been out in it today....to fetch a tin of paint from B&Q!!

The joys of working 6 days a week and trying to fit everything else in at the weekend.
