Is it standard on the MC? Parkers says so, but i'll be damned if I can find it on mine...

It is on the 2007, not on the 2006. It would be above the seat heating control, so you would have to feel for it.
 
Ahh drat, mine's an 07, but on a 56 plate and it ain't there.

Is it a complicated retro on a car with Nav?
 
No, plugs straight in. Must remove the radio (and vents) to get to that, but other then that it is a very simple mod.
 
Yes, I have both and only use the Intravee.

Aux is cheap and cheerful, but gives you nothing like charging or song visibility. Intravee gives all of that.

I can second the intravee. Much better than the aux in terms of sound quality and integration.

Mine's a December 2006 on a '56 plate and I've got it. I say check again.

Personally I don't use it though and had a 6 disc changer installed instead, but I realise I'm probably the last person left on the planet still listening to CDs in the car.
 
Nope CDs work for me too, I just use a stack of mp3 CDs. Gets the best sound quality and zero faff with vents etc. Interestingly (or not) mine is a 56 plate but October 2006 and doesn't have the aux in...

I'm with James here - check again. But it may be worth checking the actual date of manufacture under the bonnet, as it still could have been built before October 2006 which was when they started fitting it as standard.

I'll also second the Intravee - I installed it a couple of months ago and was actually much easier than I thought.

You'll need an Intravee and Alpine KCA-420i which can be bought new from:

The Intravee plugs into the CD changer connection which is accessed behind the bulkhead cover in the boot. This gives you the interface with the car itself and the iPod is connected to the KCA- 420i which in turn connects to the Intravee. The iPod cable can be fed into the cabin area to wherever you want to position your iPod. A major bonus for me is that the Intravee also allows for DAB radio to be connected if you can get hold of the long since discontinued Alpine TUA-100DAB.

It's actually a very straightforward install if you keep it uncomplicated and don't decide to retain a CD changer capability (unlike me). Have a look at the website which answers most questions regarding Intravee installation.
