Z4M Xenon out after 30 months

My right side Xenon light went out, and the car is only 30 months old. I have Xenons in other cars that are much older that never went out. Now I have lots of questions:

1. Do you think it is covered under warranty/maintenance?
2. Are there actual bulbs to replace?
3. Can the repair be done by the layman?
4. If you replace it, does the leveling need to be re calibrated?

Thx in advance ... Dave

I doubt it's covered by warranty as it would be a consumable, but you can try if you purchased new.
The bulb should exceed the life of the car but of course some can fail as with anything
As stated it's likely to be the ballast not bulb, but could equally be the HT lead fallen off or numerous other circuit problems
Bulbs can be replaced in 10 minutes by opening the service hatch removing the rear of the light unit and fitting a new bulb (Caution lights off - high voltage!!!) If it's the ballast you need to take the bumper cover off and remove the light unit to get to it. Amateur can do with a few tools
No calibration needed unless you remove the light then it's just headlamp/panel alignment.

Hope that helps.

Mine had an intermittent problem about a month ago (driver's side) and was replaced under warranty. It is just a bulb, which is an easy replacement, but the cost of the xenon bulb is around $225 USD. :(
