Z4M Test Drive & Advice

I have just test driven this car, nice condition but just a few points I could do with advice on.

The lights on the rev counter at around 6500+ would not go out despite the car being run and well warmed up, is this an issue.

Also the Inspection II is due on 6,000 miles, is this the expensive one.

Finally the discs are marked, circular all the way round. I am presuming this is normal.

The car needed a new battery and had no charge, so this could have caused some issues i guess?

Many thanks

Rob

The last three lights always stay on, like this...

Inspection 2 is the biggie.

That car has been for sale for ages, at least 6 months, price looks better now though sure it was up for £18k+ a while back.

It was at £18k when it first came on, they will not budge on price now.

You are right about the lights, and they would not go off. The car was warm as it had been driven already and I ran it for another 30 minutes.

Car is nice by the way and the chaps there were really good to deal with.

Make sure you can take it to 7900 rpm the orange colour is just the start of the end

as stated above the 2 red bars and one orange will never go

on start up the orange / red starts about 5500 rpm and lowly disappears its a nice touch this i like it :)

Takes about 15 mins to warm up fully. The lights may go out but the oil may not be up to temp so make sure its reading 85-90 deg before giving it full.

The marks on the discs are normal. Happens when new pads are put in slight imbalance of ware but not a problem. It is slight pitting these can be skimmed for minimal money. As long as the pads aren't squealing. If they are they might be slightly out of line or could be new pads that are wearing unevenly because of the marks but it is not a problem. As long as the brakes are sharp, mine are very sharp but I also have some slight pitting.

Inspection II is anywhere from £700-1100 depending where you go.
