Z4M Running Costs

Rough and ready man maths calc for me turns out a figure of c.£12.50 a day inc fuel (6kpa), tyres, cleaning products, Insp 2 (with extra work added - approx 60% of Bill), insurance, tax, alignment, new cat converter, not including purchase price - chances are I should make that back in any event. Not a lot higher (if at all) from the 2.5 above. I think it depends in large part on when you buy your car wrt the servicing schedule.

Yes, depreciation has become a big factor in this comparison.

Bought the 2.5si from a dealer for £9600 in 2012. I'm probably going to list is here for between £6500 and £6750, depending on included mods. The ///M has exchanged hands three times in that period for the roughly the same amount of money.

Loving the attention to detail on the math here...kudos! I quite like my own very rough math....bought for £14.5k October 2014, basically replaced loads of stuff on the AUC warranty and now the car is probably worth £17k. So, by this very clear and obvious math, it means you can't afford not to buy an M....!

Definitely the best time for me to buy has passed - I bought my 3.0si Jan 2014 and that year ///Ms were at their lowest - since then the only way prices have gone has been up and holding. . . . :(
