Tempting, purchase $20000, Shipping and insurance etc $5000, GST and compliance $4000 lets say $30000 NZ Dollars in total, still a bit of a risk considering the distance and not being able to view. Mmmm

If ur that interested could always get a cheap eco flight via Sing, think they can be had for between £500-700 notes...

Time it for a weekend when there’s a local hoon & ride shotgun...

Pay in cash & drive away to the docks... or have the shells done then shipped... or just have a short break & look at all the others 4sale... then pick one of those.

Considering they’re all now +10 year old cars & not out of a showroom, anyone you’ll buy will need money

somewhere thrown at it... & at £10k others you’ll be viewing at that price point will be ropey, least this has had some TLC

Yes Jembo, great suggestion but the biggest obstacle would be telling my wife I’m off to the UK to buy a car !! No way would she be staying at home. In practical terms the car becomes a $34000 car (approx 17000 pounds) so in reality I’m probably better being patient and seeing if one turns up here. There are 2 ZM coupes for sale at moment, $50000 and $59000 asking. They are struggling to sell at these prices though.

Thanks for the response, great forum this.

Believe it’s a forum tradition, part of our folk law to help fellow members spend money, the more the better.

Given I bought mine covertly without telling the Mrs - forgiveness is far easier to obtain than permission - all I can say is I dare you to do better :poke:

You’d certainly go down in our Z history & be a great thread to follow...

Haha - I’d love to rise to the challenge but as I’m retired and my wife is still working It may mean a one way ticket and having to sleep in the car. I did the seek forgiveness trick when I bought my current Z4 but don’t think I could risk this one. She also seems to think that what I spend she needs to match which doesn’t help.

Seriously though, I am torn, much as I am attracted to getting a car from the uk because of the choice I am probably better to wait until a roadster comes up for sale here. However, I might have one drink too many one night and live life on the edge. “Just popping out for a moment love”
:)

Now that’s a view of the road I’m jealous of

If you look carefully, I only had 13 miles of range left so it was actually quite a tense moment - being so remote in the Swiss Alps! Haha
I made it to a fuel station though :)

What next Tim?

Well my new situation means there's no room for a toy anymore and I'll be doing lots of mileage, so I'm going to age myself 40 years and get a BMW 640d

Great news.. someone will be very happy.

Anyone we know acquired it / have you pointed them in this direction?

Being a bit nosey though without disclosing the sale price mind if I ask whether was reasonably close to your ask?

Yes, it was sold to a forum member, who I'm sure will make themselves known soon!

Yes, the sale price was close to the asking price
