Z4M Imola red imolarot II paint HELP

Anyone used or had paint re-done done on their Z4M in imola, the paint swabs from the chipsaway looks exactly the same as the bmw sales brochure but up against the car it looks different
Anyone have any ideas ?

the paint code is 405 imolarot II which is imola red :(
 
I bought a spray can to build my Tamiya model and I'm pretty sure it was the right code. Looks the same parked next to it but haven't painted the actual car.
 
It's never exactly the same from a can or touch up stick - that why they need to blend paints together.

I'm having my bumper done this week after I reversed into a wall!!! what an idiot!
 
Code 405, Imolarot II should be right. I bought a touchup bottle at my BMW dealership a couple of years ago, and it worked for me (BMW part number 51-91-0-419-762).

Just make sure it's Imolarot II and not Imolarot I, as the Imolarot I is a tad darker and was the colour used on the E46 M3.
 
Thanks for the info guys, he used 405 imolarot II and the job is now finished, very nice too. :thumbsup:
I will take some pics once ive time.......
