Z4M Exhaust ByPass Pipes

Was this JP Exhausts in Macclesfield? If so, i've heard good things about them.

Will have a chat about prices and stuff if they will make some when I have visited them..
 
Great stuff, looking forward to more info. They're not that far from my parents, I've been tempted with one of their custom exhausts for a while now!

I live around 20 miles away....

They guy i spoke to about the camper exhaust was a great chap and we got chatting..He offered me a tour of the facility and a brew if i came down in the M so he could have a look..

Would be nice if the price was good to have maybe half a dozen bespoke sets made up..??

As they are bespoke i dare say the look/sound/volume could be chosen at time of build..

Being honest i like the stock sound but would like something a little deeper.

I also like the stock tailpipe size and configuration,although Euro tips could make a nice change..

Im not really into the RPI look and sound,would drive me mental within days!
 
If the people that are interested tell me there thoughts of what would make the "perfect" backbox for them,i can suggest them to JP..

Im sure the whole thing is feasible.....and if the numbers stack up it maybe beneficial for buyers....
 
i think im with you, my thoughts:

- slightly deeper sound (essential at idle!)
- more noise/volume at higher revs,
- rasp is good but not essential,
- drone at motorway speeds is a no go.
- oem look is ideal, maybe very slighty larger pipes would be ok.
- price would be key for buy in from a group i guess
- butterfly valve systems always seem to be the best
- no performance loss.

i think the eisenmann is good but could be deeper, maybe even louder - but it's very pricey for something not particularly special.
 
I want it to be 4 pipes similar to oem but bigger diameter so they fill the cut out more....like an eisenmann or super sprint

And to sound like a Ferrari....ok maybe not possible, but maybe a tvr then :)

Like an rpi but less monotone
 
it can sound like a ferrari as long as it can also drive 6 hours comfortably on the motorways of europe before you reach mountains to open it up.. then all hell should break loose and noise is welcomed :D
 
Yea...

i think were all on the same hymm sheet really....

Slightly bigger pipes with more volume.....But no drone....

The rasp thing................... Im not sure on this one,the M3 ones i hear all seem to accentuate the "rasp" noise,not something i paticularly want..


All sounds good here... :thumbsup:
