Z4M Eventuri Intake air scoop

Hi, I've just purchased a 2nd hand Eventuri Intake for my E85 2006 Z4M roadster. Unfortunately there is no air scoop. If you know or have experience of the intake, do you think I need it? In the pic attached I assume this is a stock air scoop? It seems pretty large so wondering why the Eventuri scoop?
If anyone has one lying around or off the car, I'd be happy to pay for posting (UK) and a deposit so I can get dimensions etc and make or get one made if that's my only option. I saw a post about 3D printed in a certain material that would be robust enough to last as another option.

Thanks Doddsy, I didn't think it was stock......interesting! I might just use that as a template and create a new one if that is the case.

If you do, try to make it out of alu and anodise it black to avoid the corrosion :P

Even 'plastikote' type coatings will chip and allow the underlying steel to rust.

You can get them in carbon from Germany. Expensive but looks good. I have brand new Eventuri one I am not using that can sell for 100usd plus shipping from the US.

Thanks, I will use this one but if I change my mind I will let you know. Postage is expensive from the States.

Or make it from something lighter.... Now only if there was some who plays with carbon fibre for a living and just got a Z4 himself AND might have something in the oven as we speak!! :poke: 8)
