Z4 valuation

Hi I am looking for some honest advice on the value of a 2004 Z4 3.0i SE auto with 10,000 from new. It’s a difficult one to quantify by looking on the web as there are few with this mileage. I am interested in ideas on trade and private values.

Its worth what someone will pay for it.

Add some pics and no doubt you will get some suggestions.

That’s very true but I need a sensible starting number. There’s one on the web in London for £17500 with the same mileage. Nice but I don’t think sensible 🤷🏻‍♂️

Nowhere near enough info for a valuation. But as [ref]Nanu[/ref], says, worth what someone is prepared to pay.

I would say around £6-8k as long as it has good service history even with the mileage and is in excellent nick.
As it stands at the present time, though, who knows? It has become a buyer's market suddenly because of the world as it is. Values are dropping, along with winter coming, squeeze on disposable incomes.....etc.

An 18 year old Z4 (unless it's an M) is just another old car IMO. With ultra low mileage it is still that, but with low mileage. Needs another 10 years to even think about being a classic, or a collector's item. But then I am no expert in the car market (just bought and sold loads)! :D

If you go to a knowledgeable forum you won't get so much as we are mostly aware that a car of that age on such a low mileage is potentially hiding issues due to lack of use. We would not pay a premium for it as putting any reasonable amount of miles on it would mean a huge drop in value.
I'll be honest, I'd be more interested if it had 75-80k on it. Perverse but true.

However, go to Joe Public, who will be seduced by the ultra low mileage and you would fare better I suspect.

Sorry if this isn't what you wanted to hear, but I'm afraid it is true.

Good luck with it however.

Maybe someone like the "bangers and cash" or 'collecting cars' sharks, could realise better returns on a car like that?

Try WBAC for a ball park, perhaps add £2k for a private sale.
In any case, if you have it indoors, best to sell as we go into next spring.

I don't think WBAC's algorithms are set up for a car like this.

£2,730 was the online offer for a 2004 3.0 SE auto with 10,000 miles.

It's worth whatever someone will pay for it.

This low-miler was up for sale a couple of years ago for £12K and did sell, but possibly not for £12K! https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=122577&hilit=conrod

It may be helpful.

I think there would be some interest, but £17,500 - no way. A late manual 3.0Si Sport coupe (IMO the most collectible non-M E85/E86) would barely scrape that.

You could be looking at £10k for a top spec car in great condition in the right colour. Lesser specs will affect the price quite radically, as will any cosmetics needing attending to.
