Z4 UK/EU costs

Help me here. I'm trying to appreciate the ownership costs incurred by members in the UK and EU. Purchase price, fuel and insurance costs, taxes and insurance. I don't think that owners in other areas appreciate the financial sacrifice that owning a Z4 represents. I know that when I travel to Europe I can always bury the car expense below food and lodging when I rank my expenditures. Not quite the same when it's a everyday thing. So, please do tell.

Well mine is definetly a large portion of my outgoings (probably too large) but it's both a way of commuting and a way of having fun.
Insurance is high for me, £900, I'm 26.
I do around 20k miles a year, about £50-60 a week in fuel just for getting to work, the train would be £45-50 plus a bus ride at each end. (I know what I prefer :P )
Tax £210 a year, not too bad...
Then there's general running costs....

I could spend less on fuel if I moved closer to work but the cost of house ownership/rental is too high for me. I currently have cheap rent/food with the folks, which suits them too since my father is away most of the year.

mine is really a weekend car as it would take too long to get to work in London/M25 traffic (~2 hours) :(

Insurance isnt too bad at £350, but Im 34 with IAM
Tax isnt bad at all
i have no finance

so its just running costs - fuel about £100 a month, tyres etc

My Z4MC is my one and only car. As for costs, it's cheaper than either of my two e34 M5s were.

Finance is £450/month, petrol is £100/week, insurance is £700, road tax is £400/year, tyres are £700/set (twice a year), and maintenance is £0 so far.

Total of about £13000/year - although most of my business miles are expensed to one client or another, so I get back about £7000.

Mine is not my only car/vehicle. An evening/weekend toy really. I'm 50 and my insurance is only £167 fully comp (decades worth of no claims bonuses!!). :D £210 a year road tax and about £38 a week on fuel. No service costs yet and no tyre purchases and no finance.

Z4 3.0i pre-facelift
Mileage: approx 6k miles p.a. (not used on a daily basis, I usually cycle to work)
Insurance: approx £450 (30 y.o. decent NCB, business class 1 insurance up to 1k business miles p.a.)
Tax: £210 p.a.
Servicing: oil change every year, servicing every 24 months - so say £80 p.a.
Finance: none, I own the car outright
Fuel: worked out at £0.1314 per mile over past 3k miles (average 30.3mpg), so £788 p.a.

Totalling all that comes to running costs of
£1,528 p.a.
or £127 p.m.
excluding depreciation of course (but that won't be bad on a late-2004 Z4).

Not a bad cost really given the performance and nature of the car :)
