I hope someone here has had similar and can help me. Earlier today I got some warning lights come up. they were orange (Tyre Pressure, Brakes and I think traction control) Interestingly the TDM on the sat nav was Red rather than green, don't think it was related.

Anyway, the good news is after stopping, doing the groceries and coming back all was warning light free.

So what was it? The last time this sort of happened it was the traction control that was the issue (that time it came up red) and was promptly delt with as a warranty issue.

Just wanted to know if it's a big job to fix or a small one I can get sorted at service time or safely ignore as a one off?

Could have been some dirt in the rotation pulse sensors on a wheel, or similar. The fact that it's gone would indicate that there's no immediate worry.

There have been a few reports of similar things happening as a one off.

I had the lights stay on permanently with my zed, it needed a new wheel rotation/pulse sensor. Not a big job, £250 at main dealer prices....

mine throws up similar issues every now and then. i have noticed that it is mainly when i am in heavy traffic or moving very slowly for a long period of time in low gears.

for example it did it when i was very carefully going over the hard knott pass and the car was undulating alot at funny angles. it has also done it as i was moveing through the heavy traffic past aintree. it always resets and never comes back.

i guessed that it may be a hall sensor or light sensor getting out of kilter or dusty?
 
I had that happen to me on the motorway once. Same lights, but no reduction in power / change of handling. Just pulled over at the next services, switched the car off for a couple of minutes then when I started it again the lights had gone off. Drove quite carefully the rest of the way home just in case as the weather was very wet (not that that's anything unusual...) but they've not come on since. Can't remember how long ago it was, but definitely last year so it's been ages.

As for the sat nav, if you have an early model facelift then they only have one radio tuner IIRC, so if you are listening to the radio and it is not Classic FM (which it is programmed to get the info from) then the traffic feed can't work. If change the music source to CD/Aux then it should go green as the radio is freed up. Later builds have two tuners.
