Z4 seat size...

Hi,

I'm going on Monday (hopefully) to collect a pair of Z4m seats and doorcards...

Obviously, they won't fit in my Z4.

The only other car I have immediate use of, wait for it.... Is a 2006 Mini.

The rear seats fold flat, but as I'm travelling a long way, I'd like a more definate answer that it will be big enough!

Anyone managed similar?
 
Tight squeeze? I think the Mini should be up to the job then!

I remember struggling to fit two fixed back buckets into a Volvo S40, but they were fixed back's and even with the rear seats folded down, being a saloon that didn't help much!
 
Anybody else have any experience fitting seats in small cars?! Gonna measure up this afternoon.

Should fit though if they went in a micra, I hope.
 
I actually managed to fit m seats in my z4 (so 4 seats in total) but it did involve separating the backs from the bases.

Is separating them a difficult job? Any guides?

I won't be going in the Z, but incase I run into issues fitting them in the Mini, then it would be nice to know I can seperate them!
 
It was a little while since I did it, but if I remember correctly I had to remove the back cover first, and then undo the bolts on either side to lift off the back from the base. Not particularly difficult but a little fiddly. I think there's a guide somewhere on here.
