Z4 roof latch stuck allen wrench technique does not work

My drivers side top latch is stuck down. The allen key method does not allow the roof to release. Is there any other way to get this unlatched so I can fix it?
 
I think you can get to the mechanism by removing the sun visors and trim panel across the top of the windscreen. Maybe you can manually open it from there?
 
Remove the Sun Visor and then you can access and unbolt the housing that the latch is clipped into. The roof will then take the housing back with it and you can easily separate the two.
I suspect that the short cable between the motor and the latch is faulty
 
Thank you I was wondering if that the correct route to go. I think the screws are blocked because its latched down if I am not mistake they are inside the front lip of the top? Maybe I am miss understanding what bolts you are talking about.
 
Ahh I see what you mean the actual plastic on the body that the visors are connected to needs to come out. Thank you I will give this a shot today when I get off work.
